Mental Ray for Maya Satellite - this is a new kind of network rendering engine that takes advantage of additional processors for mental ray engine for Maya render. This makes it possible to increase the speed of interactive miscalculation (including IPR), to increase productivity batch rendering (including launch from the command line), affect the coverage (pre-lighting) textures and points. Mental Ray for Maya Satellite is no substitute for mental ray Standalone for applications such as render farm.
